About the Tata Aeris
Tata's new compact sedan. A 1.2-litre petrol or factory iCNG, six airbags on every variant and a 419-litre boot.
The Tata Aeris is a sub-4-metre compact sedan launched on 25 September 2026 at an introductory Rs 5.29 lakh ex-showroom, with the iCNG range opening at Rs 6.29 lakh. It uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine making 85 bhp and 113 Nm, and the factory iCNG bi-fuel version is rated at 74 bhp and 96 Nm. Both fuels can be had with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, which is unusual at this price.
The range runs to 18 variants across five personas: Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Creative and Accomplished. Six airbags, ABS with EBD and 3-point belts with reminders for all seats are standard on every one of them. The boot holds 419 litres, and on the iCNG the two gas cylinders sit under the boot floor so the space stays usable.
Higher personas are where the equipment lands. Pure Plus adds a 20.32 cm touchscreen, rear AC vents, cruise control and ESP. Creative brings a 26.03 cm Ultra View touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, LED headlamps and a Blind View Monitor. The top Accomplished adds ventilated leatherette front seats, a dashcam, a wireless charging deck and iRA connected-car tech. Ground clearance is 170 mm and the car comes with a 3 year or 100,000 km warranty. No ARAI mileage figure has been published yet, and it has not been crash-tested by any NCAP programme so far.
