About the Kia Carens Clavis EV
Kia India's first electric MPV. A three-row family EV with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery options and up to about 490 km of range.
The Carens Clavis EV is the electric version of the Carens Clavis, and Kia India's first electric MPV. There are two battery packs. The 42 kWh pack gives an ARAI range of about 404 km and makes 133 bhp (99 kW). The 51.4 kWh Extended Range pack gives about 490 km and makes 169 bhp (126 kW). The body is a practical three-row, six- or seven-seater, and prices run from roughly ₹18 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
It has proper EV features: vehicle-to-load power, DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in about 39 minutes, an EV route planner and Kia Connect. The cabin is well equipped too, with dual displays, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio and a Level 2 ADAS suite with a 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitor on higher trims. As one of very few three-row electric MPVs in India, it suits families who want a roomy, zero-emission people-mover for city and highway use.
