My Wheels Expert is a small team in Noida that publishes prices, specifications, mileage and plain-spoken verdicts for every car and bike on sale in India. We started it because the question most buyers actually have, "which variant should I buy and what will it cost me on the road", was buried under listings and sponsored reviews. This page explains who we are, how a car gets its score, where the numbers come from, and how we pay the bills.

What We Do

Every model on the site has one page that answers the buying questions in order: price, variants, what each one adds, mileage, safety, colours, and a verdict. Around that sit the things you need on the day you decide: on-road prices for your city, a comparison tool, a dealer locator, and news that tells you whether to wait for a launch or buy now. All of it is also available in ten Indian languages besides English.

Who We Are

Two people put their names on everything published here. Every article carries one of their bylines, and each has a profile page with their work.

• Abhishek Gupta, Automotive Editor. Writes the MWE Verdicts and signs off every news item and price page. He comes from digital marketing and search, which is why our pages are built to answer the question first and explain afterwards.
• Mayank Rathi, Automotive Content Creator and Strategist. Three years writing about the Indian car market: launches, comparisons, specifications and buying guides.

How We Review a Car

We do not drive every car we list, and we do not pretend to. What we can promise is that the numbers on a page are the manufacturer's own, that the verdict is computed the same way for every car in a segment, and that a person has read the page before it went live.

1. The manufacturer's data comes first. Each model page is built from the official brochure and the maker's specification sheet, variant by variant. Third-party listings are used only to cross-check prices and variant names. When two sources disagree, we flag it and look again rather than quietly pick one.
2. Checks before a page goes live. A model is published only after automated checks pass: every variant has a price and a page, power is quoted in bhp, there are no duplicate or unknown specifications, and the price range matches the variants.
3. The MWE Verdict, scored on six parameters. Powertrain, technology, safety, comfort, efficiency and value. A car is scored against the cars in its own segment, not the whole market, so a hatchback is never penalised for lacking what an SUV has. The score comes from the data. The written take is the editor's, and it never claims a feature the data does not show.
4. Photos from the maker only. Hero images and highlight photos come from the manufacturer or its brochure, never from other websites, and someone looks at every one before it goes up.
5. Kept current. Prices are re-checked against current listings on a schedule, monthly sales figures come from manufacturer releases, and a car is marked discontinued only after two independent confirmations.

Why You Can Trust the Verdict

No manufacturer or dealer pays for a score, and none has ever been shown a verdict before it was published. A car with a low score stays on the site with that score. If we get something wrong, we say so on the page and fix it.

How We Make Money

When you ask for a price or book a test drive, we pass your request to authorised dealers who compete for your business. If you go on to buy, the dealer may pay us a referral fee. You never pay us anything, and the fee is the same whichever car you choose, so it has no reason to push you towards one model over another. We also run some advertising. Neither has any say in what a car scores or what we write.

Editorial Standards

Prices, specifications and mileage figures are compiled from manufacturer sources and checked against authorised dealers before publication. Where a figure is an estimate, such as an on-road price that depends on your state's taxes and dealer charges, we call it an estimate rather than dressing it up as a quote.
