About the Mahindra Thar Roxx
Mahindra's five-door lifestyle SUV under 4.5 metres. Thar toughness with everyday comfort, a panoramic Skyroof and Level 2 ADAS.
The Thar Roxx is the five-door version of the Thar. It uses the new high-strength-steel M_GLYDE platform and has the longest wheelbase in its segment at 2850 mm. Engines are a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol, making 160 bhp with the manual and 174 bhp with the automatic, and a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel, making 150 bhp in rear-wheel-drive form and up to 172 bhp in the 4x4 automatic. Each comes with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, in rear-wheel drive or part-time 4x4. Prices run from about ₹12.40 lakh to ₹22.82 lakh.
There are seven trims: MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, STAR Edition and AX7L. Depending on which you pick you get a panoramic Skyroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon nine-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, twin 26.03 cm digital screens, and AdrenoX connected-car tech with Alexa built in. The Level 2 ADAS suite has 10 features, including AEB and adaptive cruise with Stop and Go, and Smart Pilot Assist on the Tech-pack automatic. Off-road kit includes 4XPLOR terrain modes, an electronic locking differential, CrawlSmart, IntelliTurn and 650 mm of wading depth.
The Thar Roxx has a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, scoring 31.09 for adults and 45.00 for children. It comes with six airbags, ESP 9.3, hill-hold, hill-descent control and a 360-degree camera with blind-view and obstacle-view monitors.
