About the Toyota Glanza
Toyota's new-generation premium hatchback: Z-Series engine, E-CNG with AMT, and Level 2 ADAS on the V (O).
The new Toyota Glanza launched on 14 October 2026 at Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 10.98 lakh ex-showroom. It stays a rebadged Maruti Baleno underneath but moves to the 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder petrol with 81.8 bhp and 112.4 Nm, idle start-stop, and a 5-speed manual or AMT that Toyota calls Intelligent Gear Shift. The factory E-CNG on S and G now pairs with the AMT too, and returns up to 34.47 km/kg.
Five trims cover 13 variants. Six airbags, ESP, hill hold and ISOFIX are standard from the E; G adds LED projector headlamps, 16-inch alloys, a 22.86 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging and Toyota i-Connect; V brings a head-up display, 360-degree camera and ventilated leatherette seats; the new V (O) adds Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking. Rivals are the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and the Baleno itself.
The 2026 Toyota Glanza is the new generation of Toyota's premium hatchback, launched on 14 October 2026 at Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 10.98 lakh ex-showroom. It keeps the Maruti Baleno base but moves to the 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder petrol with 81.8 bhp and 112.4 Nm, idle start-stop, and a 5-speed manual or AMT (Intelligent Gear Shift); ARAI mileage is 23.80 kmpl for the manual and 24.77 kmpl for the AMT. The factory E-CNG option on S and G now comes with the AMT too and returns 33.61 km/kg (MT) or 34.47 km/kg (AMT). Five trims, E, S, G, V and the new V (O), span 13 variants. Six airbags, ESP, hill hold and ISOFIX are standard; G adds LED projector headlamps, 16-inch alloys, a 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging and Toyota i-Connect; V adds a head-up display, 360-degree camera, ventilated leatherette seats and Clarion audio; V (O) brings Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, high beam assist and autonomous emergency braking. Dimensions: 3990 x 1745 x 1530 mm, 2520 mm wheelbase, 37-litre tank, 4.85 m turning radius. Seven colours including the new Digital Teal Green.

“The Glanza is a thoroughly competent hatchback that loads you with features and safety kit, making it one of the most connected cars in its class. Its E-CNG option is genuinely frugal, and the 81.8 bhp petrol engine is adequate for city driving.
