The gearbox is a 5-speed manual or the AMT, which Toyota calls Intelligent Gear Shift. Toyota claims 23.80 kmpl for the manual and 24.77 kmpl for the AMT.
The factory E-CNG is the bigger change for buyers. It is still limited to the S and G trims, but it now comes with the AMT as well as the manual. In CNG mode the engine makes 68.8 bhp and 101.8 Nm, and the claimed figures are 33.61 km/kg for the manual and 34.47 km/kg for the AMT. The CNG tank is 55 litres water equivalent, with the 37-litre petrol tank alongside.

What has changed outside
The nose is new, with a sporty bumper that Toyota calls a hammerhead design, a wide grille and projector headlamps. Halogen projectors are standard; G and above get LED projectors with LED daytime running lamps, and V and V (O) add LED fog lamps. The tail lamps, brake lamps and high-mounted stop lamp are LED on every variant. G and above ride on new 16-inch polished alloy wheels with 195/55 R16 tyres, while E and S use 15-inch steel wheels with full covers. Every trim gets a rear spoiler and a shark-fin antenna, and from S up the roof has a floating effect with blacked-out pillars.

The car is 3,990 mm long and 1,745 mm wide on a 2,520 mm wheelbase, the same as before, but it is 30 mm taller at 1,530 mm. The turning radius is 4.85 m.
Inside: bigger screen, head-up display, ventilated seats
The E has a plain 1DIN pocket with no audio system. S gets a 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and four speakers. G moves up to the 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ screen with two tweeters, Surround Sense by Arkamys, the Hi Toyota voice assistant, a 10.67 cm colour TFT display in the cluster, automatic climate control, push-button start, wireless charging with active cooling and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel.

V adds a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats in leatherette, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming inside mirror, cruise control and a Clarion sound system in place of the Arkamys tuning. Rear AC vents, a sliding front armrest and rear fast-charging USB ports in both Type-A and Type-C come from the S.

Toyota i-Connect from the G
G and above get Toyota i-Connect. The app can lock and unlock the car, flash the hazard lights, switch on the headlights and show the distance to empty, tyre pressure and vehicle health. It also covers auto collision notification, tow alerts, geo-fencing, Find My Car, a valet profile and smartwatch connectivity, with Hey Siri voice support.
Safety: six airbags on every variant, ADAS on the V (O)
Six airbags, ESP, hill hold, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchors, three-point belts for all five occupants, seat-belt reminders front and rear, a high-speed alert and the TECT body shell are standard from the E. Rear parking sensors are standard too; G gets a reversing camera and V gets the 360-degree camera.

The new V (O) trim is the first Glanza with ADAS. It gets adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, lane keeping assist, high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking and a stagger warning. Toyota calls it Level 2. Everything else on the V (O) matches the V, so the Rs 50,000 step from V to V (O) is the price of the driver assistance.
Colours
Seven colours: Sportin Red, Cafe White, Bluish Black, Digital Teal Green, Gaming Grey, Insta Blue and Enticing Silver. Digital Teal Green is new. The E is limited to Cafe White, Gaming Grey, Insta Blue and Enticing Silver, the S adds Sportin Red, and Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green start at the G.

Which one to buy
The E at Rs 6.99 lakh is the headline price, but it has no touchscreen, halogen lamps and steel wheels. The S at Rs 7.71 lakh is the real starting point for most buyers, and the S CNG AMT at Rs 9.31 lakh is new to the range and the pick for high-mileage city use.
The G at Rs 8.73 lakh is where the car feels complete: the big screen, LED lamps, alloys, automatic climate control, wireless charging and the connected features. The V adds the head-up display, 360 camera and ventilated seats for Rs 1.26 lakh more. If you want ADAS in a hatchback at this price, the V (O) at Rs 10.49 lakh for the manual or Rs 10.98 lakh for the AMT is the one, and it is the only Glanza that offers it.
