Skoda's compact SUV under 4 metres. A 114 bhp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that brings European build to the entry class.
The Kylaq is Skoda's smallest and cheapest SUV, a sub-four-metre model for the busy compact-SUV segment. The 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol makes 114 bhp and 178 Nm, with manual and automatic gearboxes.
It is built on Skoda's India-focused platform, so it carries the brand's strengths in build quality and driving feel into the entry class. The five-seat cabin has a touchscreen, connected features and a solid safety kit, and it is a European-flavoured alternative to the established rivals.
The Skoda Kylaq is the brand’s first sub-4-metre SUV for India, measuring 3995 mm long on a 2566 mm wheelbase with a class-competitive 189 mm ground clearance and a 446 L boot. It is powered by a single 999 cc 1.0 TSI three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp at 5000-5500 rpm and 178 Nm from 1750-4000 rpm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed Tiptronic torque-converter automatic driving the front wheels. ARAI mileage is 19.68 kmpl for the manual and 19.05 kmpl for the automatic. Safety is a headline: every Kylaq gets six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, traction control, multi-collision brake and a roll-over protection system as standard, and the car carries a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating (Adult 30.88, Child 45.00). The trim ladder runs Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Signature Plus, Prestige and Prestige Plus, topped by a Sportline edition, with prices from 7.59 lakh to 13.65 lakh ex-showroom. Higher trims add a 25.6 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 20.32 cm Virtual Cockpit digital cluster, an electric sunroof, Climatronic auto AC with Air Care, ventilated and 6-way electric front seats, wireless charging, leatherette upholstery, LED projector headlamps with cornering fog lamps and a rear-view camera, all backed by Skoda’s 4-year/100,000 km Super Care warranty.
