The Kodiaq is Skoda's flagship SUV in India, with three rows of seats for family use. The 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol makes 201 bhp and 320 Nm, with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive.
The cabin is roomy and well built, with Skoda's usual clever touches, a large touchscreen, a digital driver's display and a strong safety package. It is comfortable over long distances and the boot is generous, which makes it a sensible pick for bigger families.
The new Skoda Kodiaq is a premium full-size SUV offered in three variants - Lounge (Rs 36.99 lakh, 5-seat), Sportline (Rs 44.99 lakh, 7-seat) and Selection L&K (Rs 46.99 lakh, 7-seat). Every variant runs a single 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 201 bhp (150 kW) at 4500-6000 rpm and 320 Nm at 1500-4400 rpm, paired exclusively with a 7-speed DSG automatic and full-time 4x4 all-wheel drive. ARAI fuel efficiency is 14.86 kmpl from a 62-litre tank. Measuring 4758 mm long with a 2791 mm wheelbase and 155 mm ground clearance, the Kodiaq carries a 26.03 cm Virtual Cockpit, a 26.42 cm or 32.77 cm infotainment touchscreen, a sliding panoramic sunroof, 3-zone Climatronic and dual wireless phone chargers. Boot space ranges from 281 L (third row up) to 786 L and up to 1976 L with seats folded. The flagship Selection L&K adds Cognac leather, ventilated front Ergo seats with 8-programme massage and a CANTON 725W 13-speaker system.
