The Honda CR-V Hybrid is expected to return to India around February 2028 at ₹40-45 lakh, bringing back a nameplate Honda withdrew from the market in 2020. It uses Honda's e:HEV strong-hybrid system and would sit above the Elevate as the brand's flagship SUV. India specification and assembly plans are unconfirmed.

Honda needs a credible flagship SUV in India and the CR-V is the obvious candidate, but the previous generation failed here on price. A strong hybrid at ₹40-45 lakh makes more sense now that buyers have accepted hybrid pricing on the Innova HyCross and Grand Vitara.
