Nissan has a tempting festive deal running right now. Buy a Magnite or Gravite, and you could get a CNG kit worth up to ₹85,999 added for free. But read the fine print first. The offer skips most turbo variants and only covers one Gravite trim, so not every buyer qualifies.
The offer decoded: which variants actually qualify?
The deal is simple on paper. Nissan gives you a government-approved CNG retrofit kit at no extra cost if you book before 16 November 2026. On the Magnite, that kit normally costs ₹74,999. On Gravite, it's ₹85,999. But eligibility is the catch. For the Magnite, only the non-turbo versions qualify, and even then the three base trims (VISIA MT, VISIA EZ-SHIFT, and VISIA+ MT) are left out. For the Gravite, only the TEKNA trim is eligible. So if you had your eye on a peppy turbo Magnite, this offer doesn't apply to you.
Single-cylinder Magnite vs. dual-cylinder Gravite: the boot trade-off
The two setups are different, and it matters for your luggage. The Magnite gets a single-cylinder CNG kit sitting in the boot. That eats into the luggage space you'd use for a family's weekend bags. The Gravite kit is more clever. It splits the gas into two smaller cylinders (2 x 25 liters), so the car keeps its three-row seating usable. That's a thoughtful touch for a seven-seater. Still, a CNG cylinder always costs you some practicality compared to a plain petrol car. Keep that in mind if you carry a lot.

Nissan Magnite
SUVWarranty fine print: it's a retrofit, not factory CNG.
This is the part purists should note. These are retrofit kits (fitted after the car is built), not factory CNG built into the car from the start. The kit comes with a third-party warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km, whichever comes first. This sits on top of your standard vehicle warranty. So the kit itself is covered, which is reassuring. But because it's aftermarket, some buyers worry about resale value and how it affects the car's own warranty on engine parts. If you plan to keep the car long, the kit warranty covers the usual ownership span fine.
Validity: book before 16 November 2026; nothing else on offer.
The window is tight. You must book a Magnite or Gravite before 16 November 2026 to get the free kit. After that, the kits go back to their normal prices of ₹74,999 for Magnite and ₹85,999 for Gravite. Also worth knowing: Nissan has not announced any other festive benefits with this. So there's no extra cash discount, exchange bonus, or corporate offer stacked on top. The free kit is the deal. That makes the timing clearer. If CNG suits you, book now; if not, there's no cash sweetener to chase.
The real saving: CNG running cost vs. petrol over the years
This is where CNG earns its keep. CNG typically costs around ₹6–7 per km to run versus roughly ₹10–12 per km on petrol. On a car you drive 1,500 km a month; that gap can save you a few thousand rupees every single month. Over five years of regular city use, those savings add up to real money, often enough to cover the kit's value many times over. So even without the free offer, CNG pays back if you drive a lot. The free kit just removes the upfront cost that usually puts buyers off. For high-mileage drivers, that's a strong case.

Nissan Gravite
MUV/MPVShould you take it, or wait?
Take the deal if you drive a lot in the city and have reliable CNG stations near you. The free kit removes the one big barrier (the upfront cost), and the Gravite's dual-cylinder setup keeps your seven seats usable. But think twice if you wanted a turbo Magnite, since those are excluded, or if your area's CNG pumps are patchy. In parts of Delhi NCR and other cities, CNG queues and shrinking station networks can test your patience. Also remember this is a retrofit, so if you care deeply about resale or want a cleaner factory-fit solution, waiting could make sense. For a budget-conscious family that runs big monthly kilometers, though, this is a genuinely useful offer.
