The facelift is easy to spot by its larger illuminated grille with vertical slats and the new headlamps with a three-pointed-star light signature. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class returned to India on 5 October 2026 in facelifted form, and for the first time as a plug-in hybrid. The single S 580e variant pairs a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine with an electric motor and a 21.96 kWh battery for a combined 577 bhp and 750 Nm, all-wheel drive through a 9G-TRONIC gearbox, and up to 98 km of electric-only driving. It charges at 11 kW on AC and up to 60 kW on DC, where a 10 to 80 percent top-up takes about 20 minutes. The facelift brings a larger illuminated Maybach grille with vertical slats, new headlamps with a three-pointed-star daytime running light signature and rose-gold detailing, an illuminated Maybach wordmark and star, and 20-inch forged wheels. Inside there is the MBUX Superscreen with a passenger display, a 31-speaker Burmester High-End 4D sound system with Dolby Atmos, MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment with two 13.1-inch screens, and executive rear seats that recline to 43 degrees. It is priced at Rs 3.35 crore ex-showroom, with 30 cars in the first batch.
