Jeep Wrangler Mojito Edition: what we know and don't
Here's the honest bit. The only thing Jeep has shown is the Mojito shade, a lime-green colour used on Wrangler special editions abroad. That's it. Jeep has not confirmed the launch date, how many units come to India, or the full list of changes over the normal SUV. Bookings are open, but you're paying to reserve a car whose price and kit nobody outside Jeep knows. That's an unusual ask.

The Jeep hasn't announced the Mojito's price. If it's based on the Rubicon and adds exclusive accessories, expect it to cost more than ₹70.8 lakh. The on-road price would be higher still, after road tax, registration and insurance, which vary by state. Add a healthy margin for the exclusivity, and the model could become the priciest Wrangler you can buy here.

What the international Mojito Editions offered, and why India-spec may differ
The Mojito name isn't new. Jeep has used the shade on limited runs in the US, Japan and South Korea. A recent 2025 South Korean version was based on the four-door Rubicon, with just 30 units made. Buyers there got two versions, and the costlier one packed extra Mopar kit, including beadlock wheels (special off-road wheels that lock the tyre in place). Whether India gets any of that is unknown. Don't assume beadlock wheels or a Rubicon base for our market until Jeep confirms it.

Powertrain is almost certainly not the story here. Every Wrangler sold in India already uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 268 bhp and 400 Nm of torque (pulling power). It's paired with an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel drive across the range. Mileage is a thirsty 10.6 to 11.4 kmpl (ARAI, a government test that always reads higher than real driving). The South Korean Mojito used the same 2.0T plus 8-speed auto setup, so expect the Indian car to carry over the mechanicals. The real differentiator is paint and, maybe, some cosmetic extras.
Should you book the Mojito Edition now or wait for the full reveal?
Book only if you love that lime-green paint and want a limited number plate. For everyone else, waiting costs you nothing. You get no price, no feature list, no unit count and no launch date today. The known Rubicon at ₹70.8 lakh gives you the full off-road hardware right now, with no guesswork. To put the spend in perspective, that Rubicon already costs ₹22.6 lakh more than a Nissan X-Trail at ₹48.2 lakh, though the X-Trail can't touch the Wrangler off-road. If the Mojito adds an exclusivity premium on top, the gap only grows. My call: wait for the reveal, then decide if the paint is worth it.
