About the Tata Intra EV

The Tata Intra EV is the largest of Tata’s electric small trucks and the only one of the four that is a pickup rather than a mini truck. A 28.2 kWh LFP pack drives a 72 kW (97 hp) motor making 230 Nm through an automatic e-axle, giving it an 80 km/h top speed, a 23 percent gradeability and a 1,750 kg payload on a 3,310 kg GVW. ARAI certifies 211 km and the brochure quotes 125 to 140 km in real-world running. The 2,960 mm long load body is the longest here, and electric power-assisted steering makes it far lighter to place than the mechanically steered Ace models. It is the only one of the four with DC fast charging, taking 50 to 60 minutes from 10 to 80 percent on a CCS2 charger, with AC charging in 4.8 to 5 hours on a 6.6 kW unit. The high-voltage battery is covered for 6 years or 1,98,000 km.
