Honda Elevate facelift launched at Rs 11.80 lakh: new ZX Plus, ADAS from ZX, same 1.5 petrol

Honda has launched the updated Elevate in India at Rs 11.80 lakh for the base SV manual, going up to Rs 18.40 lakh for the new ZX Plus CVT Black Edition. All prices are ex-showroom. The facelift went on sale on 6 October 2026, and bookings that opened earlier at Rs 21,000 now convert to deliveries.

This is a mid-life update of the compact SUV that arrived in 2023, so the body, the 1.5-litre petrol engine and the two gearboxes carry over. What changes is the face, the equipment list and a new top grade called ZX Plus.

What has changed on the outside

The Honda badge moves from the grille up onto the bonnet, and the grille itself is now a bold mesh with a gloss black upper moulding. Above it sit the Rugged Tri-Bar signature LED lights that run the width of the nose on VX and above. At the back the tail lamps are now connected by a light bar on VX upwards, and both bumpers are new with silver skid garnishes. The R17 alloys get a diamond-cut dual-tone finish with a dark clear coat on ZX and ZX Plus, while the Black Edition runs gloss black multi-spoke wheels.

Engine and gearbox: no change

The 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol continues with 119 bhp at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It pairs with a 6-speed manual or a CVT with 7-step paddle shifters. Honda claims 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT. There is still no turbo, hybrid, diesel or CNG option.

The CVT is worth more than the gearbox alone this time. Only the CVT variants get rear disc brakes, an electric parking brake with Auto Brake Hold, remote engine start, a front USB-C port and Low Speed Follow for the adaptive cruise control. Manual cars keep rear drums and a handbrake lever.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, hill start assist, brake override and ISOFIX mounts are standard from the SV. The LaneWatch camera in the left mirror arrives on VX. Honda SENSING comes in on ZX and brings Collision Mitigation Braking, adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Lead Car Departure Notification and auto high beam. The ZX Plus adds a 360-degree surround vision camera and front parking sensors.

What the new ZX Plus brings

The ZX Plus is the reason to look at the facelift. Over the ZX it adds an 8-way powered driver seat, a 4-way powered co-driver seat, rear ventilated seats to go with the front ones, the 360-degree camera and front sensors. Honda says the front and rear ventilated seats are a first in this segment. On the CVT it can also be had in three dual-tone colours with a Crystal Black Pearl roof.

Size, boot and warranty

The Elevate is 4,312 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall on a 2,650 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 220 mm by Honda’s own measure, the boot holds 458 litres and the fuel tank takes 40 litres. The standard warranty is 3 years with unlimited kilometres, extendable up to 7 years, and the Anytime Warranty programme stretches cover to 10 years or 1,20,000 km.

Seven single-tone colours are offered: Nordic Forest Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Platinum White Pearl. Nordic Forest Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl can also be had with a Crystal Black Pearl roof on the ZX Plus CVT.

How it sits against its rivals

The Elevate competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. Its case is still space, a 458-litre boot, six airbags on every variant and Honda’s reliability record. Where it gives ground is choice of powertrain. Rivals offer turbo-petrols, diesels, strong hybrids or CNG, and the Elevate has one naturally aspirated petrol.

Which one to buy

The SV at Rs 11.80 lakh is a basic car with steel wheels and no touchscreen. The V manual at Rs 12.29 lakh is where most buyers should start, since it brings the screen, Honda Connect and the rear camera. The VX adds the sunroof, alloys, LaneWatch and the connected lights, and the VX CVT at Rs 15.39 lakh is the pick for city use because of the disc brakes and the electric parking brake. If you want ADAS, the ZX manual costs the same Rs 15.39 lakh. The ZX Plus is for buyers who want the powered and ventilated seats and the 360 camera, and the Black Edition is a Rs 10,000 styling choice on top.
