What is the difference between wholesale dispatches and registrations?
Wholesale dispatches are the units a manufacturer sends to its dealers, reported by the OEM or SIAM. Registrations (Vahan) and retail figures (FADA) count cars actually sold to customers. The two differ because of dealer stock, so a month reported on one basis is not directly comparable with a month reported on the other. Each page states its basis.
