Hyundai Announces Price Hike Across Range from June 2026 in India

Hyundai Motor India has officially announced that prices across its model range will be revised upwards starting June 2026. The price increase was initially scheduled to take effect from 1st May 2026 but has been postponed by a month, giving customers additional time to book vehicles at current prices.

Whilst the exact quantum of the increase has not been disclosed, industry sources suggest the hike could range between 1 to 2 per cent across select models. The increase will apply to various segments in Hyundai's portfolio, from entry-level hatchbacks to premium SUVs and sedans.

Hyundai joins several other manufacturers who have announced or implemented price revisions in 2026. Rising input costs, fluctuating commodity prices, and increasing expenses related to meeting stricter emission and safety norms are cited as key factors driving the adjustment.

The Korean carmaker currently offers a comprehensive range in India, including popular models such as the Verna sedan, Creta and Alcazar SUVs, the recently launched Exter compact SUV, and the premium Ioniq 5 electric vehicle. The brand has maintained a strong position in multiple segments, particularly in the competitive mid-size SUV space with the Creta.

Customers looking to avoid the price increase have until the end of May to book their preferred Hyundai model at existing rates. Dealers across the country have been notified of the upcoming revision and are encouraging prospective buyers to expedite their purchase decisions.
