Tata Tiago and Tiago EV Facelift Set for 28 May Launch with Premium Cabin Upgrades
Tata Motors prepares to launch refreshed Tiago hatchback and Tiago EV on 28 May 2026 with redesigned interiors, updated design, and modern features to strengthen India's entry-level car segment.
Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the next-generation Tiago hatchback and Tiago EV on 28 May 2026, bringing significant design and feature upgrades to India's most affordable car segments. The company has officially showcased the interiors ahead of the launch, revealing a significantly redesigned cabin with a more premium layout.
The refreshed Tiago will be available with petrol, CNG, and electric powertrain options, catering to a wide spectrum of budget-conscious buyers. The updated design is expected to include modern styling cues, refreshed LED headlamps, a new grille, and tweaked bumpers to give the hatchback a contemporary appearance. Inside, the cabin will likely feature an updated infotainment touchscreen, improved materials, digital instrumentation, and better ergonomics compared to the outgoing model.
The Tiago EV facelift is particularly significant as it will become India's most affordable electric vehicle with a 360-degree camera, making advanced safety features accessible in the EV segment. This move will further democratise electric mobility in India, following Tata's strategy of offering feature-rich EVs at competitive prices. The electric hatchback is expected to retain its proven LFP battery and motor setup while adding modern tech and comfort features.
Pricing for the Tiago facelift is estimated to start around ₹4.50 lakh, while the Tiago EV facelift could be priced from approximately ₹7.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The refreshed models will continue to compete against the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and in the EV space, against rivals like the MG Comet EV.
What it means for Indian buyers: Tata's Tiago updates will bring modern features and styling to the entry-level segment at affordable prices. The Tiago EV's 360-degree camera addition shows Tata's commitment to safety democratisation, making premium features accessible to first-time EV buyers in India.
