BMW X6 M60i Coupe-SUV Returns to India After 3 Years with V8 Power
BMW's X6 M60i coupe-SUV makes a comeback in the Indian market this month with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 523 bhp, 48V mild-hybrid tech, and a 0-100 kmph time of 4.3 seconds.
After an absence of over three years from the Indian market, BMW is bringing back the X6 coupe-SUV in its M60i performance variant this June 2026. The German automaker commenced pre-bookings through its official website in early May and showcased the facelifted model shortly after.
The BMW X6 M60i is positioned as a high-performance luxury coupe-SUV that blends aggressive styling with formidable power. Under the bonnet, it features a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This combination produces 523 bhp of power and 700 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system, enabling the X6 M60i to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds.
The facelift brings several design enhancements including revised lighting signatures, updated front and rear bumpers, fresh alloy wheel designs, and BMW's latest curved display interface inside the cabin. The interior benefits from premium materials, advanced driver assistance systems, and the newest iteration of BMW's iDrive infotainment platform.
Given its CBU (completely-built unit) import status and performance credentials, the X6 M60i is expected to carry a premium price tag, likely positioned between ₹1.2 to ₹1.4 crore (ex-showroom). It will compete directly against rivals such as the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, Audi SQ8, and Porsche Cayenne Coupe in the luxury performance SUV segment.
